180 degrees south

This movie was about a man who was on a quest to follow in the footsteps of two rock climbers that were an inspiration to him when he was younger. The movie follows him in his journey to make it to the top of Patagonia just as his predecessor did. This movie seems to be a story about the main character going on a journey to find himself. He spends so much time working to reach his goal and in the end he does not manage to attain it. this seems like a story that we can all relate too. Everybody has wanted something that they wanted to attain really badly and few people are ever able to attain what they truly desire. But in the end result it isn't arriving at your goal that is the important part, it is the process of getting there that is most important. This movie was also very big on promoting the environment. i like going outdoors, but i also like technology too so i do not think that i would be able to do what they do. They are the hardcore environmental people, they are also the ones that i most respect. I respect them more then i do people who preach about this stuff but are unable to actually go through with what they preach about. This movie was very interesting to me and is now one of my favorites.
