Butterfly Lessons

This article tells us some very interesting facts about how organism distribution works. It talks about temperature plays such a big part in organisms habitats. The butterflies are used to demonstrate how organisms habitats have changed over time with different species occupying different ares then they previously did. It is believed that the change in climate will cause an extinction of as much as 37% of species if global warming continues as it is now. Another thing that is used to measure changes is when insects enter their hibernating state. different insects in different regions use different indicators to tell when they should enter their hibernating state. changes with these indicators are causing insects to enter their hibernation states earlier then they did previously. This shows that global warming is already creating an impact on the evolutionary system. This is physical proof that if we don't make changes then there will be even more serious consequences for the earth then are already being felt now.
