environmental damage

This image is a picture of bombs being dropped in Afghanistan. This picture could represent a myriad of different things. But for the purpose of this blog it focuses on the damage the bombing is causing the environment. There are many different varieties of migrating birds that pass through Afghanistan along their routes. bombings are destroying the wilderness and eliminating the habitats of these birds and many other animals that call this area their home. This shows how even in our attempts to destroy each other, humans still manage to cause just as much harm to the environment as they do to themselves. In 1983 3.4 percent of the environment in Afghanistan was wilderness. As of 1989 that has fallen to less then 3 percent. at the rate we are going we will completely destroy the environment before we end up destroying ourselves. We need to find an effective way of limiting the further degradation of the environment and put into place plans that will protect the environment from any collateral damage such as may be caused by war.
